Fear Is A Liar


Yesterday I had the pleasure of taking my daughter to a blueberry farm to pick blueberries.. This is something I enjoy once a year during picking season by myself.. It is so peaceful just being with nature and getting fresh fruit without pesticides.. I know the local grower and I'm sowing into his crop.. 

As we were picking our berries we came across a fuzzy caterpillar minding his own business, a few love bugs, tiny spiders, a dragonfly and few other little insects.. Now as none of these will really harm you except the caterpillar, a big bee comes along.. My daughter starts running for her life through all the bushes like she is on fire.... The bee wasn't interested in her, it was minding its own business i'm sure enjoying the fresh air and all the plants with fruit on them. 

By this time my daughter is ready to pack our stuff up and go home. It is safe there with no bugs. She proclaims she doesn't enjoy the outdoors and makes every excuse to leave...  See she wants to go back where she feels safe from something that is very harmless to her. She perceived seeing so many insects at one time as fearful.. It is a perceived notion in her head....

How many times has a perceived notion stopped you from moving forward? How many times has the thought of leaving your safe place kept you from having fun?  Fear is a liar and will keep you from enjoying the moments you were meant not to miss.. I encourage you to take time to do something that is challenging or scary today...

A fresh head of broccoli should be steamed for three to four minutes and no more than five. At the five minute mark it starts to lose its valuable properties for your health.

Broccoli supports detoxification in your body. It also helps to reduce inflammation throughout the body which happens to be the root cause of many diseases. It can fight allergies. It helps to improve gut health with its high content of fiber. It supports eye health and your skin. It has heart healthy properties and can reduce your blood sugar.  If you have a fatty liver or liver cancer it can aid in helping with this... 

The best property which might having you serving broccoli two to three times a week is that it helps to destroy cancer cells.  

Amazing Chia Seed Pudding With Strawberries

Chia Seeds are amazing tiny seeds that are naturally organic, non GMO and gluten free. It might be tiny but packs a pretty big punch as nutrients is concerned.  It is loaded with fiber and protein. It is full of Omega-3 fatty acids. They are a great antioxidant, can help you lose weight, help lower your risk for diabetes and heart disease.  They also Improve Exercise Performance as much as a sports drink would and healthier.

In order to help release the omega-3's inside the tiny seed it is good to soak them in a liquid for 3-4 hours so they become like gelatin.


Chia Seed Pudding With Strawberries

1 cup Almond Milk

1/2 cup chia seeds

1 tsp honey

1/2 cup fresh strawberries (or any fruit)
